Dr Cook was born and grew up in Kent and moved up to Leicester to study medicine in 1987.
He graduated in 1992 and did his vocational training to become a General Practitioner in Kettering and Wellingborough. Dr Cook joined the partnership in 1999 following the retirement of Dr Rackham.
Dr Cook enjoys all aspects of General practice but has a particular interest in cardiovascular medicine, childrens health, and teaching & training.
Dr Anniss completed his GP training here at the Central Surgery in 2012, and joined our team on a permanent basis. He is currently studying medical education and supports us with the teaching of undergraduate medical students.
Dr Montgomery graduated from Leicester University Medical School in 1996. She joined The Central Surgery in 2014 firstly as a salaried doctor and then as a partner from 2015.
Dr Ryan qualified as a GP in 2009, going on to complete her post graduate certificate in Medical Education in 2011. She became a GP Trainer in 2012, and is actively involved in training our GP registrars.
Dr. Thompson MBChB MRCGP completed his medical training at the University of Leicester, graduating in 2005. He joined The Central Surgery as a partner in August 2015 having completed his GP training at the surgery. His special interests include cardiology and improving the quality of prescribing
Viv joined our nursing team in 2010, coming from a background as a district nurse.
Val is trained in taking blood tests and routine blood pressure recordings, and offering weight management advice. She can also perform ECGs, lung function testing (spirometry), INR checks, wound dressings and flu vaccinations
The practice management are involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice management support the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also help to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

The District Nursing Team works alongside the surgery to provide care and services such as wound and catheter care, injections and bloods testing, to the patients who are housebound and unable to attend the surgery for such care.

Health visitors are trained nurses with further specialist training in family health. The health visitor will take over you and your baby’s care from the midwife between 11 and 16 days after your baby is born. The team will offer guidance, advice and support on all aspects of health from nutrition, weaning, child development, minor ailments, safety and immunisations to parenting issues such as child behaviour, sleeping patterns and other aspects of family life.
